Starting tomorrow, Wednesday, May 5th several talented players in North America will face off in an eight-man single elimination bracket to determine the winner for this week’s cup. Players will do battle on the maps Campgrounds (dm6), Blood Run (ztn), Furious Heights (t7), House of Decay (t9), and Lost World (dm13).

The cup will start at 8 PM EST with coverage provided by Quakelive.tv. So, start your summer off right by spectating some exciting Quake action!

We will broaden The AGP into more game such as Modern Warfare 2, Team Fortress 2, Warcraft III, and Crysis. More games are being looked into. We are currently in talks with various organizations. We plan on going deeper into the gaming community with more lan tournaments, online tournaments, and running gaming ladders and brackets.

We will still be focusing on Quake Live of course but want to reach out to more gamers and offer a better gaming experience for those competitive players. We appreciate your support and would like feedback left on the site on what games you would like to see for competitive game play. More information will be announced soon.

We are starting with the European Duel representation. 5 AGP player representatives will be elected by vote of official AGP members (free members and Pro members) in that region. Each member has VOLUNTEERED for this position. The candidates are:

The first online tournament to be sanctioned by the AGP is the Zotac Quake Live Cup based in Europe. Every Sunday players can compete in the Zotac Cup duel competition for 100€. Those that are members of the AGP will also receive AGP Ranking points based on their performance. Below is the point breakdown for this competition. During phase 1 of this beta, continually do that anytime you see a new one, etc. This will show us if our ad system is working with numbers, etc.

Now it might seem as though we are trying to boast our numbers or the company advertising by mentioning this, but understand we only have about 50 people on this closed beta and need to test numbers and make sure our functionality works. This includes ad functionality and analytic’s.

At that point, we will announce to the public for those who would like to join in before the actual public launch.

Our goal in this closed beta is to begin to fill the site up with content and user added data. Feel free to create an account and look around the site as you may.
